The story of the 2026 New Year's card
As in previous years, we have prepared a unique New Year's card for our business partners and friends of Servind, created by the pen, or rather the brush, of motoring journalist and painter Jiří Rameš. He has already created a number of Servind New Year's cards, and this year's is truly exceptional. We believe that the story behind this legendary motif will capture your interest. We wish you all the best for 2026 and hope that the coming year will be just as wonderful as the one that is coming to an end. Thank you for your cooperation and support in 2025, and we look forward to seeing you in 2026!
Lauda versus Hunt
One of the most dramatic chapters in F1 history is the battle between Austrian Niki Lauda (Ferrari) and Brit James Hunt (McLaren) in 1976. Lauda, the reigning world champion, took the lead in the championship again, while Hunt was plagued by technical problems in the races. However, at the German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring in August, Lauda nearly burned to death after a terrible accident, and it seemed that his career was over. Hunt, on the other hand, was doing well and increased his points lead. However, despite severe burns, Lauda made a surprising return to racing after only six weeks, and the title was decided in the final race. In the rainy Japanese Grand Prix, however, Lauda did not want to take any risks, withdrew, and James Hunt became world champion. This legendary story is successfully presented in the British-German film Rush.

Jiří Rameš
Born in 1954 in Děčín. Although he has no formal art education, his drawings of cars began to be published in the leading motoring magazine Svět motorů (World of Motors) (1973) while he was still studying at secondary technical school. Over time, his work was also published in other magazines, such as Motoristická současnost, Automobil, AutoTip, and the German Fernfahrer Magazin. His paintings are owned by many Czech and foreign racing drivers, managers, and companies (among other things, he painted Emerson Fittipaldi's championship-winning Lotus 72 JPS at his request). He is also the author of the color scheme for the top-of-the-line Avia racing cars and the official color design of the Škoda Motorsport car, which the factory team used until the end of the 1980s. In recent years, he has created an entire collection of paintings, which you regularly see on our New Year's cards.
